Founded in 2009 in Perth, Australia by Anthony Smith, Insightly was originally designed as a lightweight CRM tightly integrated with Google Apps. The company later relocated its headquarters to San Francisco and raised multiple venture rounds to expand its capabilities beyond the Google ecosystem. Over the 2010s Insightly grew rapidly in the SMB CRM market, adding advanced reporting, workflow automation, project management, and deep integrations with productivity and accounting tools such as Microsoft 365, QuickBooks Online, and Xero.

The platform now offers three main CRM editions (Plus, Professional, and Enterprise) along with companion products for marketing automation and support ticketing. In July 2024 Insightly was acquired by private equity firm Crest Rock Partners and merged with Unbounce, a leading landing-page and conversion optimization platform. Operating as Insightly CRM by Unbounce, the combined company focuses on aligning sales and marketing workflows end to end, from first click on a landing page through CRM, marketing automation, and customer success. Insightly today is used by more than a million users and tens of thousands of organizations worldwide across industries such as professional services, manufacturing, finance, healthcare, and technology.

No, just No. Find another CRM. They were pretty good, but lately have dropped the ball with support. No replies, you have to pay for tech support, and then all they give you is self help. Have been chasing them for over 10 weeks to fix something they made which does not work. Sad, not a bad system, but no longer a good support network. I would swap if we could.

Terrible. There was an error with our company credit card for the Insightly renewal. They locked us out of our account. For the last 2 days, we have been emailing Insightly to pay with no response from their customer service. We should have never changed from Salesforce to Insightly. Their response to my initial post about Insightly has no phone number or email to contact them. They also make no reference to why there is no response from our emails or why their phone does not work correctly. When you call the 888 number and I hit 2 for sales, it goes back to the main greeting. The phone help sales system is messed up.. Whoever wrote the response should be fired. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE.

We've been using Insightly for three years now. I pretty much use it on a daily basis, not only for CRM management but also for our Project Pipeline and analytics that come from that data. The best thing about it is the visual dashboards, they are a brilliant way of viewing data and incredibly flexible.

This company over promises and severely under delivers. Be wary of your auto renewal process, they will derail, slow walk, and disrupt your ability to stop the auto renewal, and NEVER refund you money. Terrible!!!

What a joke! I'd give this company negative starts... Their platform does not work as promoted. Their customer service & sales strategy is "OVER promise UNDER deliver." When I asked why I was overbilled, and if I could talk to someone on the phone about that, their response was, "You can pay for customer service phone support for AN EXTRA $1,500!.... WHAT?!??!!? This company is horrible - don't use.

INSIGHTLY was Awful! They auto deducted from us for 3 years straight while trying to cancel the subscription. The email the subscription was created on was cancelled. So they couldn’t do anything about it. Eventually we outsmarted them by closing the account. If Insightly is smart they will get better costumer service to help clients out with issues like this. Except there was no one to talk to! It’s like a wall or a game where they won’t talk to you. Even tried their chat support didn’t work. Gonna write a review aswell on the professional sites and Apple Apps! Horrible customer care! Horrible customer care!

The CRM part is pretty good. The customer service is horrible/ non existent. We moved over to the new version of Insightly and some of the features work differently. We have been trying to track things that we had in the classic version and it is not working properly. I have been communicating with customer support for weeks, because it takes them 24 to 48 hours to respond. A simple questions takes 24-48 hours to respond. No wonder i'm at 2 weeks and still no resolution. I could get the entire thing set-up correctly in 30 minutes if i could speak with someone. I have a paid account and still they tell me email support only. I'm starting to think i need to change CRM's. Great sales pitch, horrible customer support.
