Klaviyo is an extremely predatory company. If you're using a site like Shopify, Klaviyo charges for *non-subscribing users* because its pricing is based on the total number of "active profiles" in your account, not just those who have explicitly opted into marketing emails. For example, you end up paying for 10,000 profiles instead of 1000 that are actually subscribed. That's the difference between $45 and $260 They automatically pull user profiles from Shopify and THERE IS NO WAY TO OPT OUT because they want to use this as an excuse to take more money from you. The only way to mitigate this is to create a segment to build a list of non-subscribers, then delete those people. However, they know this so they intentionally obfuscate how and where to navigate to delete these users. They also regularly delete that specific segment - the one that prevents you from paying for profiles you never asked for. Recently they made this worse by RE-ADDING profiles that you have already expressly removed so even if you think you're on top of it, you're not, because they will slip in the non-subscribed users just before your billing date. Also, if they sneak in a big list of unsubscribes to charge you for, and bill you for it, and you prune that list thereafter, they will STILL bill you as if you had them in the next billing cycle because they have changed your plan automatically to account for additional "profiles" that THEY added and you never asked for but they won't change your plan/bill automatically when you decrease the list - you have to manually go in and change your plan. Very Very Predatory.

We have been trying to cancel an account with them for over a year now that a past employee used her own email to start thus we cannot get in. Every month we are being charged and they are ZERO help. We've emailed various times back and forth with support. It is clear they do not have a process for lost accounts. We have dealt with aa similar issue in the past with UberSuggest and they had such a streamline process for helping us find the account our credit card was being used in. We just provided them the last 4 digits of our credit card number and name on the account, the last charge amount and they found our account and reset the email so we can get in to cancel it. It's honestly absolutely ridiculous that a company like Klavyio cannot be more supportive and helpful to small businesses. Being charged every month for something we cannot get into is a scam. We're spent over $1000 in fees over the past year for an account we can't get into!

Jana at Klaviyo treats customers horribly. The millions of dollars invested by Shopify clearly isn’t enough to pay for decent humans to staff the company. They refuse a refund of $60 because they said it costs the company too much money to host our 300 contacts. Anyone using Klaviyo should move to HighLevel immediately so they don’t get treated Iike absolute trash the way Jana and Klaviyo treated us. To quote Jana, “I apologize for any inconvenience but I hope this provides you with the clarification you were looking for.” Clarification in this case is why to avoid Klaviyo AT ALL COSTS. GOHIGHLEVEL!!!!
