Overview

Get set up is the first-run checklist for a new self-serve SalesHive workspace. It lists five steps in the order most teams work: start your plan, import contacts, invite a teammate, connect a mailbox and create your first deal. Each step checks itself off from what is already in your workspace, so there is nothing to tick by hand. A progress bar and a count at the top show how far along you are. The page only exists for self-serve workspaces; managed and Platform Only clients do not see it.

How to use this page

  1. Open the checklist

In the sidebar, open Onboarding and click Get set up. Clicking the Onboarding folder itself also opens this page. Once the plan is running, workspace members also land here after signing in until every step is done. Admins of a running plan see a Continue setup card on Plan and billing too.

  2. Work through the steps

Each step shows a number, a title and one line on what to do or what is already there. The next open step is outlined and its button is highlighted. Click the button to go to the page where you finish that step, then come back to see it checked off.

  3. Start your plan

Click Start your plan to pick your seats and add a card in Stripe Checkout on Plan and billing. It counts as done once your plan is in a free trial, active or past due.

  4. Import contacts, invite a teammate and connect a mailbox

Import contacts opens Contacts with the CSV import already open, so you can pick your file and map the columns before anything is saved. Once you have contacts, View contacts opens the plain Contacts page. Add a teammate opens Users; each person uses one seat. Connect a mailbox opens Email Accounts so you can connect Google or Microsoft 365 and send from your own address.

  5. Create your first deal

Click Create a deal to open your pipeline with the new deal form already open, then enter the deal name and click Create. Once you have a deal, Open pipeline opens the pipeline as usual. When all five steps are done, the page title changes to Your workspace is ready.

Common questions

No. Each step checks itself off as soon as your workspace shows it, for example once you have at least one contact or one deal.
Steps reflect your workspace right now. If the work is undone, such as your only mailbox disconnecting, that step opens again until you fix it.
Starting the plan and inviting teammates are admin tasks. Members who are not admins see that note instead of a button.
When you sign in without a specific link, you go to Plan and billing while the plan is not running, to this checklist while any step is open, and to Contacts once every step is done. A link to a specific page still takes you there.
Plan: a free trial, active or past due plan. Contacts: at least one contact that is not in the trash. Teammate: at least one active member besides the first. Mailbox: at least one active mailbox with a working connection. Deal: at least one deal in your own pipeline.
It is only for self-serve workspaces. Managed and Platform Only clients work with their SalesHive team instead.
Get set up and Users. The Deal Room link appears only while SalesHive has a managed service proposal open for your workspace. Managed onboarding pages such as Playmaker, Playbook, Documents and Google Drive are not used, and opening one brings you back here.
No. They open once when you arrive from this checklist. Refreshing the page or going Back does not reopen them.
