Overview
General Settings is your own account page. It shows who you are signed in as and your account type at a glance, and lets you set the app's color theme for this browser. If you sign in through the client portal, you can also edit your name and change your password here. SalesHive employees manage their profile and password through SalesHive sign-in, so those cards do not appear; only the Appearance control does.
How to use this page
Review your account at a glance
The overview band at the top shows the email you are signed in as, your account type (client portal account or SalesHive employee account), and your current theme. Use it to confirm you are in the right account before making changes.
Update your profile (client portal only)
If you sign in through the client portal, edit your name and email in the Profile card, then click Save profile. A success or error message appears below the fields.
Change your password (client portal only)
In the Password card, enter your current password, then a new password of at least 8 characters, and confirm it. Click Change password. The button stays disabled until both the current and new password are filled in, with a hint explaining why.
Set the appearance
In the Appearance card, choose Light, Dark, or System. System follows your operating system's setting and shows which mode it currently resolves to. The choice is saved in this browser only and stays in sync with the theme toggle in the top bar.
What the buttons do
- Save profile
- Saves your name and email. Client portal accounts only.
- Change password
- Updates your password after you enter the current one and a matching new password of at least 8 characters. Client portal accounts only.
- Light / Dark / System
- Sets the app color scheme for this browser. System follows your OS preference.
