Overview

Deal Stages defines the pipeline stages the client's deals move through. Use it to add and rename stages, set their order, and mark which stages mean the deal is won or lost. The columns on the Deals board come directly from this list.

How to use this page

  1. Select the client

Pick the client in the top-right switcher to load their stages.

  2. Add a stage

Type a stage name in the new-stage field and press Enter (or the add control) to create it. It is added to the end of the pipeline.

  3. Rename and reorder

Edit a stage name in place, and reorder stages so they match the real sales process. The order here is the column order on the Deals board.

  4. Mark won and lost

Use the Won and Lost toggles on a stage to mark its outcome. A stage can be one or the other, not both; marking one clears the other.

What the buttons do

New stage name
Names a new pipeline stage; Enter adds it.
Won
Marks the stage as a closed-won outcome.
Lost
Marks the stage as a closed-lost outcome.
Delete
Removes a stage from the pipeline.

Common questions

No. Marking a stage Won clears Lost and vice versa, since a stage represents one outcome.
They become the columns on the Deals board, in the order you set here.
