Overview

Playmaker is the onboarding intake form for each client engagement. You capture collateral links, kickoff details, TAM and ICP, value proposition, personas, and customer stories here. Answers auto-save as you type and feed the generated Playbook strategy document. Open it from the client switcher or jump straight to a client with a shareable deep link.

How to use this page

  1. Open Playmaker for a client

In Platform, go to Onboarding > Playmaker. Pick the client in the header switcher first, or open a direct link: /platform/onboarding/playmaker/{dealId}. The deep link syncs your session to that client automatically. A legacy ?dealId= query on the base URL redirects to the same deep link. Add ?tab=overview, tam, values, or personas to land on a specific tab.

  2. Work through the tabs

Use All Fields for the full scrollable form, or jump to Overview (collateral and kickoff checklist), TAM & ICP (targeting and ideal company profile), Values (value prop and customer stories), Personas (target and influencer titles), or History (change log). Click a field to edit; rich-text fields include formatting and links. Section checkboxes mark blocks complete.

  3. Fill sections with AI

Expand Generate with AI at the top. Add the company name, website URL (required), and optional notes for AI context, then click Fill All with AI. You can also use Fill with AI on individual sections (for example Values or TAM). If a run cannot complete every section, it tells you which sections failed rather than reporting success. Review and edit anything the model drafts before marking sections complete.

  4. Share a link with teammates

Internal users click Copy Share Link in the tab bar. The URL includes the current tab when you are not on All Fields, so you can point a strategist straight to Values or Personas. Paste it in Slack or email; recipients with access to that client open the same Playmaker without re-picking the switcher.

What the buttons do

Copy Share Link
Copies the stable deep link for this client's Playmaker (includes the active tab when set). Internal users only.
Mark all complete
Checks every section checkbox at once when intake is finished. Asks you to confirm first. Internal users only.
Hide completed
Filters the form to show only sections still in progress.
Generate with AI
Collapsible panel at the top for company context and Fill All with AI.
Fill with AI
On a section header, drafts that subsection from your website and saved context.
Fill All with AI
Runs AI across every AI-enabled section in one pass (requires website URL). Reports which sections failed if any do not complete.
Section checkboxes
Mark a subsection complete when intake for that block is done. If a save fails, the checkbox reverts and a message explains why. Completed sections can be hidden with Hide completed.

Common questions

The base /platform/onboarding/playmaker route needs a client context. Pick a client in the header switcher, or open a deep link that includes the deal id: /platform/onboarding/playmaker/{dealId}.
Yes. Use /platform/onboarding/playmaker/{dealId} (add ?tab=values, personas, etc. to open a specific tab). Anyone with access to that client can open it directly.
Playmaker captures onboarding intake: targeting, value prop, personas, and kickoff details. Playbook is the generated, editable strategy document (scripts, emails, launch plan) built from those inputs.
Fields auto-save as you edit. The footer shows Saving, Changes saved, or Save failed, and pressing Ctrl+S forces a full save. If a field, section, or mark-complete save fails, the change is rolled back and you get a message so nothing silently looks saved when it is not.
If the change log fails to load, the tab now shows a retryable error instead of hanging on an empty state. Click to retry; if it keeps failing, note the message and flag it.
