Overview

ZoomInfo Enrich submits ZoomInfo redemptions to fill in full contact data (emails, phones, titles, and company details) for the selected client, and keeps a history of past enrichments. Match by ID/email or by name plus company, paste or upload the inputs, pick any extra options, and submit. Redemptions spend credits, except for contacts this client already bought in the last 30 days, which are reused for free. In By ID / Email mode a free check, on by default, skips contacts ZoomInfo confirms have no email, direct phone or mobile, so no credit is spent on them. Enriched contacts are always saved to an enrichment pool tied to the redemption; they do NOT pour into All Contacts unless you check the opt-in box. New submissions and retries run in the background and continue through app restarts. If processing stops, recovery checks can finish saving stored results without another purchase or mark the row Failed for review. Use View on a completed row to browse the enrichment pool and export a CSV.

How to use this page

  1. Select the client

Pick the client in the top-right switcher so the enrichment is recorded against that deal.

  2. Choose how to match

Use the By ID / Email or By Name + Company toggle depending on what you have for each contact.

  3. Name the list and add inputs

Give the redemption a list name and optional description. For By ID / Email, paste IDs or emails one per line, or upload a CSV with a ZoomInfo ID or Email column. For By Name + Company, upload a CSV, check Column Mapping for First + Last Name or Full Name and Company Name, and review the matched rows before submitting.

  4. Choose extra enrichment

Optionally turn on Include additional company data (a separate company lookup that uses company credits) or Also Search in Apollo (uses Apollo credits). In By ID / Email mode, contacts this client bought in the last 30 days are reused for free; check Buy fresh data for contacts this client already bought only if you need them pulled again. Skip contacts with no email, direct phone or mobile is checked by default, so a free ZoomInfo check runs first and contacts it has no way to reach are not bought. Uncheck it only if you want every contact bought.

  5. Decide whether to add to All Contacts

By default, enriched contacts are saved to the enrichment pool only and do NOT appear in All Contacts. Check Add enriched contacts to All Contacts only when you want every enriched person there right away, for example to enroll them in a campaign. You can always browse and export the pool from a completed redemption later.

  6. Submit and download

Select the count-labeled Enrich button. Processing continues in the background through app restarts. Track Enrichment History. Finished rows show Completed or Partial result; use Enriched to download returned contacts or View to browse the pool. Original downloads the uploaded input when available. For Partial result, open Details and download Outcomes before considering another paid request. Outcomes is also available on Failed rows. If you see Could not start enrichment, reload and review the existing Failed row.

  7. Review enriched contacts in the pool

On any Completed or Partial result row, click View to expand an inline Enrichment pool panel. It shows a paginated table of every enriched contact (Name, Title, Company, Email, Phone, Location, Accuracy) stored for that redemption, drawn from the ZoomInfo pool whether or not you opted in to All Contacts. Page through with Previous and Next, and click Download CSV to export the full enriched list. This is how you get to enrichment results that were not mirrored into All Contacts.

  8. Retry a failed enrichment

On a Failed row, review Outcomes and the error before selecting Retry. Only the requester or an admin can retry. Original options are retained. If a provider response is already stored, even one containing zero people, Retry finishes processing that saved response without buying again. Without a saved response, Retry may repeat a paid lookup. Reconcile uncertain results before a fresh purchase. If the row changed or is already running, reload before acting.

What the buttons do

By ID / Email vs By Name + Company
Switches how contacts are matched for the redemption.
List Name / Description
Labels the redemption so it is easy to find in history.
IDs / emails input (or Upload CSV)
The ZoomInfo IDs or emails to enrich, one per line, or a CSV with a ZoomInfo ID or Email column.
Include additional company data
Runs an extra company lookup using company credits.
Also Search in Apollo
Adds Apollo enrichment using Apollo credits.
Buy fresh data for contacts this client already bought
By ID / Email mode only, off by default. When off, IDs this client bought in the last 30 days are copied at no credit cost. Check it to buy them from ZoomInfo again.
Skip contacts with no email, direct phone or mobile
By ID / Email mode only, on by default. Before any credit is spent, a free ZoomInfo search checks whether each contact has an email, direct phone or mobile, and contacts it confirms have none of the three are not bought. If you upload a ZoomInfo export with Has Email and Has Direct Phone Number columns, only rows marked no for both are checked, and a line under the box shows how many rows that is; without those columns, every contact is checked. Contacts the search cannot find, or cannot check, are still bought as usual. Uncheck the box to buy every contact.
Add enriched contacts to All Contacts
Opt-in checkbox, off by default. Enriched contacts are always saved to the enrichment pool; check this only to also add every enriched person to All Contacts right away.
Enrich records
Starts the redemption (the button shows the record count once you add inputs). It runs in the background and shows up in Enrichment History.
View
Appears on a Completed or Partial result row. Expands an inline Enrichment pool panel with a paginated contacts table (Name, Title, Company, Email, Phone, Location, Accuracy) and a Download CSV button. Lets you browse enrichment results that were not added to All Contacts.
Download CSV (enrichment pool)
Inside the View panel, exports the full enriched contact list for that redemption as a CSV.
Original / Enriched
Downloads the original input file or the enriched results for a redemption. For email lookups the enriched file includes an Input Email column with the email you uploaded. Only the requester, an admin, or someone working in the same client can download. A toast shows if the download fails.
Retry
On a Failed row, retries with the original options. Only the requester or an admin can retry. A stored provider response, including one with zero people, is processed without a new purchase. Without a saved response, Retry may spend credits again. Review Outcomes first and reload if the row changed.
Delete (X)
Removes an enrichment from history after a confirmation. A toast confirms success or failure.
Reused and skipped notes (Output column)
Under the output count in Enrichment History, "reused, no credits" shows how many contacts were copied from a purchase in the last 30 days, and "skipped, no email or phone" shows how many the free check left out. Hover the skipped line for the full note.
Outcomes / Details
Outcomes downloads one audit row per input for finished or Failed requests, with the outcome, retained provider status and whether the person is in saved enriched results. Details expands the explanation under Partial result. Historical gaps remain unknown; missing data does not establish billing.

Common questions

Yes. Redemptions consume ZoomInfo credits, and the optional company and Apollo enrichments use their own credits. In By ID / Email mode, contacts this client already bought in the last 30 days are copied from that purchase at no credit cost, and while Skip contacts with no email, direct phone or mobile stays checked (the default), contacts ZoomInfo has no way to reach are not bought. That check is free. Browsing the enrichment pool with View and exporting a CSV does not cost anything extra.
Enriched contacts are always saved to an enrichment pool tied to the redemption. They do NOT appear in All Contacts unless you check Add enriched contacts to All Contacts before you submit, so All Contacts is not flooded with uncontacted enrichment-only rows. To see the results, click View on the Completed or Partial result row to open the pool, then page through or click Download CSV. You can also download the enriched file straight from the Actions column.
A finished request shows Partial result when fewer contacts were returned than submitted. Open Details and download Outcomes to review each input: returned, reused, skipped_unreachable, provider_refused, no_person_data or unknown. LIMIT_EXCEEDED means ZoomInfo refused that input because of its account allowance. Unknown means the saved evidence cannot establish what happened. Missing results alone do not prove a no-match or that no credits were charged. Keep the returned contacts and reconcile the original purchase before another paid request. Confirmed unreachable contacts skipped before buying are separate from provider refusals. For email lookups, the enriched CSV includes Input Email to map returned people to the uploaded addresses.
No. A contact is skipped only when the free ZoomInfo search finds them and reports no email, no direct phone and no mobile. Many rows an export marks as having no email and no direct phone still have a mobile, and those are bought. If the free check fails for some contacts, they are bought as usual and the redemption notes that the check could not finish.
Large lists can take several minutes. New submissions and retries continue through app restarts, so an app restart alone is not a reason to submit again. Reload to check status. Background recovery can finish processing a saved provider response, including one with zero people, without another purchase. An interrupted run without a saved response is marked Failed for review; Retry may spend credits again.
Review Outcomes and the error on the existing Failed row, then use Retry if appropriate. Only the requester or an admin can retry. The original options and saved name-and-company inputs are retained. A stored provider response, even one with zero people, is processed without a new purchase. Without one, the lookup may spend credits again. Reload if the row changed, and reconcile uncertain purchases before requesting more paid data.
In By ID / Email mode, ZoomInfo IDs this client already bought in the last 30 days are copied from that earlier purchase instead of being bought again, so they use no credits. They still appear in the enriched download. The Output column shows how many were reused. To pull them fresh from ZoomInfo, check Buy fresh data for contacts this client already bought before you submit (uses credits).
SalesHive team members can always use it. Because list building tools use paid data and research credits, a client login can use ZoomInfo Enrich only when the workspace's package includes list building. Otherwise the whole List Building folder is hidden from the client's sidebar, opening the page directly shows a note saying ZoomInfo Enrich is part of list building (ask your SalesHive team to add it), and submitting or retrying a redemption is refused, so no credits can be spent.
